2007年3月「神戸ビエンナーレ2007」の一部門「アート・イン・コンテナ」出展作品公募のための国際コンペティションが実施された。応募案「Constructed Cave No.1」は入選45作品のひとつである。作品は、「地理的」「都市的」「歴史的」「文化的」など複数のコンテクストと関わることによってデザインされた。本稿では、各々のコンテクストについてと建築・美術の歴史的作品や数理学モデルなど多くのレファレンスが存在することを説明することによって作品解説とした。
