2008年度共同研究『アジアンデザイン―文様研究―』では、西アジア起源と言われている文様等の“成り立ち”と“変遷”そして世界中に広がって行った“経緯”について研究を深めてきた。2008年度は本学大学院で学び2003年3月に芸術工学博士の学位を取得したのち帰国し、テヘラン大学アート学部で教鞭を執っているDr.Mojgan Jahanara氏にこの研究会参加を要請し、西アジアから世界中に広がり、それぞれの国の文化に出会い、進化し続けている文様の意味について研究会と特別講義を行った。

Through the 2008 joint research project “Asian Design: Study of Motif,” we came to deepen our understanding of the “establishment” and “transitions” of motifs said to originate in West Asia, as well as “accounts” of their spread across the world. For our research work in 2008, we invited the participation of Dr. Mojgan Jahanara, who returned to his own country after acquiring a doctoral degree in Design Research at the graduate school of this university in March 2003 and is now teaching at the College of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran. We conducted research work and special lectures on the meaning of these continually evolving motifs as they spread from West Asia to the rest of the world, encountering the cultures of various countries in the process.

本学では、北京理工大学(中国)及び東西大学(韓国)とともに、2005年から3ヵ年にわたり継続的に東アジアの文化遺産の保存・活用に関する国際共同プロジェクトを実施してきた。2008年度は、2007年の研究を補足するために白川郷の伝統的な色彩に関する調査を行うとともに、3ヵ年の成果報告書を日中韓の3カ国語によってとりまとめる作業を行った。また、2009年度以降も継続的に研究・教育に関する国際協力をしていくための仕組みの検討と、台湾におけるアジアンデザイン研究のフィールドサーベイのための予備調査を行った。

From 2005 to 2007, Kobe Design Univ., Beijing Institute of Technology(China), and Dongseo Univ.(Korea) had international collaborative Research of the cultural properties in these three countries every year. In 2008, we get the results together in one volume written in trilingual language. And we discussed how to continue this international collaboration in research and education, and also made a preliminary survey for international collaborative research in Taiwan. Moreover, to complement the research in 2007, we made a survey of traditional colors in Shirakawa village.

台湾原住民の伝統服装にみた地方の文様特色
―ルカイ族(霧台村)とパイワン族(七佳村)両地の文様の比較を通して―

台湾原住民の織物文化において、各族の審美観や文化系統、宗教、信仰及び社会規範などを表している。

本調査研究は主に2007年12月20日～26日の期間にルカイ(霧台)、パイワン(七佳)二村で見出した伝統服装の様式や文様構成、素材などを分析対象として纏めたものである。長期にわたり互いに影響を受けている両族の伝統服装様式や技法、文様、文様の意味がいかに共通性を持ち、またどのようなところに差異性が見られるのかといった問題を探究しながら、両地の伝統服装における特色を引き出し、その位置づけを明確にする。

The Taiwan autochthon's fabric culture is various races aesthetic standard, the cultural system, religion, belief and the social norm performance. This investigation and study mainly is by December 20, 2007 to 26 in Rukai race (Wutai) and Paiwan race (Chijia) two village collection traditional clothing style and the totem constitution, the source material and so on takes the analysis the object of study. Inquired into how compatibility two races the traditional clothings do have and the difference in the technique and the totem significance under the long-time mutual influence; And is clear about two place tradition clothing the characteristic is this research goal.

　IT技術の進展にともない「印刷」「出版」「デザイン」の現場は劇的な作業環境の変化にさらされている。「出版・デザイン」にかかわる実践者たちは、そうした現状にどのように対処しているのか。さまざまな「作品」の実例を紹介しながら、個別の現場での対応と、グローバルなIT技術環境の更新との関連を考察・論述する。併せてそれらの成果をエディトリアルデザインの実践として、一巻の書籍として制作する。

With the development of IT, the frontlines of printing, publishing and design have gone through drastic changes in terms of work environment.

How have people involved in publishing and design coped with such changes? This course surveys several different projects, and discusses and examines the correlation between the global development of IT and the approach taken in each project. As a practical training of editorial design, the results of the course are to be compiled into a book.

前回の紀要「芸術工学2008」では、テキスタイルにおける「インクジェットプリント」、「シルクスクリーンプリント」、「熱転写プリント」の歴史と特徴について概説し、インクジェットプリントの現状などを調査・報告した。また、その魅力と欠点をふまえて、テキスタイルにおける新しい表現の可能性を研究し、その成果の一部を報告した。その後も研究を継続し、研究者は展覧会などに出品することなどを通じて一定の成果を得ている。今回は、前回から更に進めた研究用の試作品の中で、特徴的なものを選び、写真を使って解説・報告する。

In the last bulletin [Art Technology 2008], we reviewed the history and feature of ink-jet print, silk screening, and thermal transfer, and then we investigated and reported the present conditions of ink-jet print. In addition, we indicated our research for possibilities of new expression about textile design by considering its attractiveness and weakness. After our last report, we continued our research and our projects were archiving a constant result through the exhibition. In this report, we explain some of our new works using pictures.

北播磨地域の地場産業「播州織」の振興と西脇市街地の活性化の取り組み
―「播州織ファッション特区事業」3年間の報告―

本報告では、兵庫県の「先導的活性化事業」のひとつとして平成18年度より3カ年の計画で実施された「西脇中心市街地播州織ファッション特区事業」についての本学と西脇商工会議所、播州織産元協同組合との産官学連携による取り組みを紹介する。播州織の長期に渡る低迷と住民の高齢化により、西脇市の中心市街地は活気を失っている。本事業は、「播州織」をキーワードにして、古い建物の再生利用を通して中心市街地の活性化を試みたものである。また、産学連携によるブランドを作り、これまでの播州織とは異なる新たな商品開発を行い、播州織を活性化させる提案も行った。

This paper reports "Banshuori fashion district project" authorized as one of the "business incubation initiative" projects of Hyogo prefecture being carried out for three years from 2006. The project has been promoted through industry-university cooperation with the Nishiwaki chamber of commerce and the Banshuori cooperative. Due to declination of textile industry and aging of inhabitants, the central area of Nishiwaki has been devitalized. In the project, old vacant buildings are converted to public and commercial facilities in order to enliven the neighborhood. A new brand of Banshuori was also created through industry-university cooperation, and originally designed textile goods are being produced suggesting new possibilities of Banshuori.

2005年、ファッションデザイン学科の教職員と学生を中心に設立した「even art project」は、新たな試みを取り入れ、活動を続けている。本報は2008年度に行った三つの企画、小規模作業所とのものづくり「えびすアートプロジェクト」、親子のおそろい手作り服「ちびたん」プロジェクト、車イス利用者の衣服デザイン「ユニバーサルデザインファッションショー」に関して報告する。「even」(＝平らな、対等の)をキーワードに新しいユニバーサルデザインを社会に提供し続けてきたeapの4年間の活動を振り返り、更なる活動の発展の一助としたい。

The Even Art Project that establishes mainly the school personnel and the student of the Fashion Design Department in 2005 keeps taking a new trial, and acting.

This report summarizes activities carried out in 2008, including the "Ebisu-Art-Project", the "Chibitan-Project" and "Universal design Fashion-Show".

It wants to look back on the activity of the Even Art Project that has continued to the key word offer the society a new universal design for four years, and to assume "even" to be a help of the development of a further activity.

日本・中国協同による服飾文化交流と教育効果
―『日中友好おとな服ファッションショー』―

現在、世界的規模で高齢化が進む中、ファッションデザイン分野においてもシニア世代のデザイン研究が望まれている。

2008年10月、日本と中国の服飾文化交流を目的に、中国北京市にて、日本・中国協同によるファッションショーが開催された。日本側のテーマは「日本」。

本校ファッションデザイン学科学生有志と北九州市のデザイナーたちが、日本の文化や伝統を、各々の視点でデザインし、作品発表を行った。

本報は作品制作のプロセス、学生達の国際交流など、指導教員の立場からデザイン教育への有効性に関して報告する。

Looking to the aging population on a world scale today the research on the clothing design of senior generation in the field of fashion design was considered.

In October 2008, the China Japan cooperation held a fashion show in Beijing on the purpose of cultural exchanges between both countries. Here, we used the theme of "Japan"

Our student volunteers of Fashion Design together with the designer members of Kitakyushu Fashion Design Department, make basic design of clothing from the point of view of Japanese traditional culture, was presented.

In this paper the process of design, the collaboration in the sense of international cooperation relations and the effectiveness of design education from the perspective of supervisor was reported too.

アートおよびデザインを専門とする大学が、地域社会との良好な関係を構築するため、産・官・学連携による3例のデザインワークショップを展開した。すなわち、「神戸市西区学園都市アート・プロジェクト2008」、「エコアートフェスタ大阪2008」、「淡路瓦産業」である。本稿ではこれらデザインワークショップにおける本学との連携方法について報告する。

We that major in art and design in the university, try to build a good relationship between the regional society and the university.

We pushed forward the experimental study of three design workshops under industry-government-academia collaboration at a university. These are "Art-Project 2008 in Gakuentoshi Nishi-ku Kobe", "Eco Art Festa Osaka 2008" and "Awaji roofing tile industry".

We report the method of these design workshops for collaboration between the university and the regional society.

住み続けプロジェクト第1報 軽度認知症者の自立を支援する生活家電の開発

高齢者のみの世帯および高齢者独居世帯が増加し、2025年には全世帯の37%を占めると、また認知症者の数も320万人になると予測されている。認知症の前段階に見られる物忘れに対して、行動を見守り、適切に注意喚起を行うことが自立生活を支え、認知症進行の予防につながる。24時間の見守りを人的に行うことは不可能に近く、IT技術の適用が望ましい。また、自立した生活行為のためには、生活家電の使いやすさや解り易さが重要となる。生活家電の使用において、認知機能の低下がどのように影響を及ぼすのか、使用を中止した生活家電と使い続けている生活家電は何なのか、使い続けることができる生活家電の要素は何なのか、といった点を実態調査し、生活家電の在り方について研究を行う。

本報告は、第1報としてスウェーデンの取り組みの実態調査の結果である。

In Japan, as hyper aging society, elderly peoples' single family houses will become 37% in 2025. Also persons who are dementia will be 3.2 million at that time. Before dementia, most of patients suffer from continuous memory loss, then relatives or care agency will inhibit his/her independent living activity in term of safety issue. The authors think that permit their activity under the watching over his/her dangerous behavior may keep their cognitive function than prohibition. However 24 hours personal watching is impossible by means of cost and burden, we consider to develop to watch and make attention by technologies to support their independency of the life in their own houses.

This is our first report describe the survey of the actual state in Sweden.

瀬戸内沿海域の景観が持つ固有価値の再評価に関する試行的研究2

本研究は、瀬戸内沿海文化の実態とその歴史的変遷を、環境デザイン研究の視点から、1)沿海景観、2)土地利用と住居集合、3)営みと生活文化、について現地調査・文献調査を行い、地域の固有価値を再評価することを目的としている。その際、瀬戸内海が最も繁栄していたとされる江戸時代に着目し、その指針として、当時の瀬戸内海を横断的且つ詳細に観察したシーボルトらの記録を利用する。

現在の、陸域からの視点でしか評価されない瀬戸内沿海文化を、海域からの視点で再評価することにより、瀬戸内沿海域の活性化に繋がると考えた。

The purpose of this study is to re-evaluate the value of local identity in SETONAIKAI (The Inland Sea), by doing fieldworks and researches about the current situation and the historical transition of the coastal culture of SETONAIKAI, from the viewpoint of environmental design, especially "1)coastal scenery", "2)land use and village", and "3) living and local customs". For this study, the Edo Era which is said that the most prosperous age in the history of SETONAIKAI is focused, and the record written by Siebold who investigated SETONAIKAI in detail, is used as the guiding principle.

It is hypothesized that the re-evaluation of the coastal culture of SETONAIKAI from the marine point of view that has been only evaluated from the land point of view will lead the re-activation of SETONAIKAI.

視覚障害者用囲碁盤はいくつか製作されており、視覚障害者囲碁大会も開催されている。しかし、視覚障害者と晴眼者が対等に対局できる囲碁盤がなく、視覚に障害のある人にとって囲碁の世界は限られたものになっている。囲碁などの知的競技は、体力を競う競技と異なり、身体的なハンディキャップは使用する用具によって取り除くことができる。我々は、視覚障害者と晴眼者が対等に対局できることを目標に掲げ、ユニバーサルデザインの視点から囲碁盤を開発したので、その経過を報告する。なお、本研究は大阪商業大学アミューズメント産業研究所および関西棋院と共同で2007年度より実施した。

"Go" is one of the traditional games and very popular in the world. The authors have developed new go play set for the persons who are blind in a point of view of Universal design. This paper describes the outline of go first, current situation of go for the blind, then the features of newly designed go set by the authors. The authors designed the go set not only for use by the blind but also use by sighted persons, so that both players are able to compete each other equally and in flat condition.

本研究は、おもに工業、工芸、芸術、技術・家庭などの分野において、学習者のアイデアおよび制作プロセスを記録・分析することによって、ドキュメンテーションを含んだデザイン教育の手法を考察した。ここでは、2008年度に行ったものづくりワークショップの実例をもとに、(1)学習者が意欲的にアイデアを出したり、懸命に製作をしたりできる学習環境作り、(2)学習プロセスの記録・編集方法について報告する。

We tried to record the process of the idea and the molding of students and make a database of the process. On this paper, we report: 1) the learning environment that students are eager to hit upon a great idea and make models as hard as they can. 2) the method of recording and editing of the process of learning.

三木鉄道跡地等利用基本計画の策定支援について

三木鉄道は、大正5(1916)年に播州鉄道として開業して以来、地場産業である金物、穀物類の輸送に大きな役割を果たしてきたが、利用者数の減少による累積赤字の増大により、平成20(2008)年3月末をもって、その歴史に幕を閉じた。そこで三木市では、沿線地域の代表者や公募委員等を含む、市長に選任された21人の委員で構成される「三木鉄道跡地等利用検討協議会」での議論を通して基本計画案の策定を行なった。本稿は、このような三木鉄道跡地等利用基本計画の策定支援の概要について報告するものである。

Miki railway opened in 1916 as an important public transport for the region. However, the number of the user has decreased in the last 40 years, and finally the railway was abolished in 2008. The next year, the municipal office of Miki decided to prepare a general plan for the reuse of railway facilities and the land through discussion in a committee involving citizens from the districts along the railway. Professor Kawakita of the Kobe Design University, the author of this paper was appointed as the chairperson of the committee. Students were also invited to support the workshops in the committee. This paper illustrates the consensus building process for the proposals and also explains the concepts of the finally approved general reuse plan.

住民主導のまちづくり組織による協働のプロセスデザイン
―兵庫県播磨町での取り組みを通して―

兵庫県播磨町で取り組まれている住民主導まちづくり組織による協働の地域づくりのプロセスデザインについての報告である。播磨町では播磨町立北小学校が廃校になったのを契機に、住民主導の施設の管理運営を行う「旧播磨北小学校施設運営協議会」が平成19年6月に設立された。その後、兵庫県立特別支援学校が旧北小学校跡施設を利用することとなり、旧北小協議会は特別支援学校と協働し施設運営と地域づくりに取り組むこととなった。この両者を中心とした協働体制の下、住民主導による地域づくりが行われている。

This is a report of the process design of the partnership by Machizukuri Organization consisted of residents in Harima-town, Hyogo Prefecture. With the closing of ex-Harima North Elementary School, "ex-Harima North Elementary school Facilities Management Conference (NE-FMC)" was established at June 2007 in Harima-town. Afterwards, Hyogo prefectural Special Needs Education School (SNES) came to use the facilities of Ex-North Elementary School, and the NE-FMC came to make partnership of facility management and the community re-building with SNES. NE-FMC tackles community re-building problems at the initiative of resident on the partnership with SNES.

環境・建築デザイン学科ウェブサイトの構築について
―学生特派員との共同運営の試み―

環境・建築デザイン学科では、2008年秋に学科ウェブサイトを立ち上げた。学科では、このウェブサイトを“第2のキャンパス”と位置づけ、在校生のみならず、受験生、卒業生までも、それぞれの立場で楽しめるサイトを目指している。本稿では、1)サイト構築の過程、2)サイト更新を通した環境・建築デザイン教育の実践、3)サイト運営に関する今後の課題、について報告する。

The Department of Environmental Design started up its website in the autumn of 2008.The Department regards the website as virtual campus, and is aiming at a website that prospective and graduate students as well as students at school can enjoy. This paper reports 1)the process of website development, 2)environmental education through the website update, and 3)issues on the future website operation.

塩田千春がベルリンで学ぶために住み始めたのは、ベルリンの壁が崩壊した後である。壁がなくなったときにその向こう側に見えたものは、厳しい経済状況の中で長い間凍結されてきた東ドイツの人々の生活、部屋、建物、都市であった。そこには数十年間のドイツの記憶が残されていたのである。壁崩壊の後、さまざまな店や住居や企業が西ベルリンから、そして西ドイツ中から移り住んできた。彼らの基準から見て使用に耐えられない建物は破壊され、また使えるものは内部をすべて取り払って新しい内装に替えられた。塩田が集めた窓はこうして捨てられたドイツの記憶としての窓である。アトリエとして借りた屋根裏部屋には古いドイツの新聞紙や家具がそのまま残されていた。その中でどのように制作のアイデアが展開され、それがどのように現実の作品へと結びついていったかということは想像することしかできないが、ベルリンという都市と、この旧東ベルリンに位置するアトリエの空間が作品の重要な基盤のひとつとなっていることもまた想像に難くない。それは塩田の作品の背景に一貫して現れる「記憶」というもうひとつのテーマに、ベルリンという「時間を凍結された都市」の記憶が重ねあわされて生まれたものであったかもしれない。本研究は、こうした作家の作品とその背景にあるものを書籍として構成する試みであり、ページの構成、写真の選択の意図、シークエンスの組み立ての意図などをここでは解説している。

Chiharu Shiota first took up residence for studies in post-Wall Berlin. Removing the Wall exposed lives, apartments, buildings, an entire city long frozen under East Germany's grim economic standstill, and in it, sedimented decades of German memory. Properties costing next to nothing compared to prices in the West were quickly bought up by Western capital, families, shops and businesses soon moved to East Berlin and from there into East Germany at large. Buildings considered unfit by Western standards were either torn down or gutted and refurbished. The windowframes Shiota culled from such demolitions are thus windows onto abandoned German memory, portals that recall decades spent looking out day after day. Renting studio space in an attic freighted with discarded furniture and old newspapers, she developed creative ideas that somehow transformed into actual artworks, a creative output in which we may recognize the fundamental imprint of the city of Berlin and of that particular space located in former East Berlin. Very likely the “memory” theme that underscores the whole of her oeuvre also had its origins in the urban memory of Berlin, “a city frozen in time.”

The aim of this book being to visually annotate Chiharu Shiota's artistic processes set forth in her lecture.

芸術系大学における「図書館」の情報発信
―神戸芸術工科大学の教育支援の事例を中心に―

本稿は、芸術系大学における「図書館」の情報発信の形態を考察するものである。まずメディア、コンテンツにおいて先駆的な取り組みがみられる各機関の事例を概観したのち、神戸芸術工科大学が2008年度に開設した情報サイト「新図書館ラボ」の概要報告と成果分析を行う。図書館のみならず、図書館同様に情報が蓄積、整理されるデジタル・アーカイブ等も分析の対象に含めることで、従来の図書館論を越えた議論を試みる。

This paper is intended as an investigation of "Presence" in Art Library. First of all, various shape to send information on "Library" is confirmed from the approach of other organizations that have advanced media and contents. Afterwards, the purpose and the result of website "New Library Lab" that Kobe Design University established in 2008 are analyzed. The point in this paper is to include the digital archive and the website where information is classified and accumulated in the object of the analysis. As a result, it is tried to derive a radical discussion about the library.
